WEEK 1 Assignment: Creativity and Play

1: Is there a relationship between play & creativity? Why so? Give examples of/or experiences.

I think that there is definitely a relationship between play and creativity because in order to be creative, one has to play with their mind and thoughts. One has to have have playful, unapologetic and real thoughts in order for creativity to flow and for ideas to pop up.

Without playful thoughts, there wouldn't be any creativity flowing through minds. designers need playful thoughts in order to get creative and design beautiful yet interesting and unique clothes.

2. If so, do you think playfulness can be taught?

I personally feel that playfulness has to come within and cannot be taught. Playfulness has to be an organic process which come from within.
