Week 10 e-journal: Force Connection 2

In this blog post, I have come up with an idea to force connect a water bottle and a wallet. Sometimes people want to carry all their items with them without a bag. This will reduce their hassle and also encourage them to drink more water as their water bottle is with them always.

The photos above are my inspiration.

This photo is what sparked my idea in class as me and my group decided to create something out of this two items.

This is the idea i came up with by having a cardholder like compartment in front of the bottle to store all cards and cash.

This week, i have learned that with creativity in mind, you can create items that are unique and items that bring an ease to life like items that are multi-functional and useful.

Week 9 e-journal: Force Connection

Above are 6 photos i have drawn out with an object forced connected with an adjective.
The first one is a passionate candle: the candles are connected for a intimate feel.
Sad candle: Designed to be like a frown
Creative candle: Curved and twirled.
Greedy candle: Multiple candle connected to one stand.
Hardworking Candle: One candle with multiple wicks.

The 6 photos uploaded above is a cup force connected with adjectives.
Passionate cup: Instead of a handle, the cup has openings, so that the fingers can go through the cup and hold it.
Sad cup: A cup with a dent.
Brave cup: A cup with a pointed bottom.
Creative cup: A square cup
Greedy cup: a cup with a "bitten off" pattern
Hardworking cup: 4 small cups, joined together.

Week 8 e-journal : What we did in 3d class

(inspiration)

3d fundamentals is a class where we are required to do artifacts with materials such as wires and papers. So far we have done 4 pieces and i thoroughly enjoy this class as we get to create artifacts using simple materials such as wire and paper. the module is interesting to me as it provides students with opportunities to become confident with 3d structures and forms. It helps students develop techniques of design.

I enjoy it due to the work we are required to do, to design the products and bring it to life. Its extremely fun and exciting.

This exercise has taught me that you can sense emotions and feelings in anything and that you can find inspiration and art in anything if we have the ability to.

WEEK 7: Classroom exercise 2

Identify 3 existing products to discover relationships to other objects and images. Preferably seeking examples where a modest source has influenced the form of a luxurious target, and vice versa.

Wood; Wood is definitely a material that has been influenced to form other objects such as tables, chairs and clothes hanger. The options are endless as to what one can do with wood and what wood can inspire to do.
